introduction

Welcome to the Melbak website.  We are a UK based band specialising in our own unique flavour of soul & funk. 

Originally formed in 2003, we set out to produce music which reflected the diverse tastes and influences of the band members.  You will find elements of soul, funk, blues, jazz, latin and gospel to name but a few, within our music.

To date, we have released 2 CDs:
A Matter of Time (2003) and Four Seasons (2006)

These were extremely well received and 2 tracks Without the Man You Love and Some Kind of Wonderful were awarded runner up and finalist positions respectively in the UK Songwriting Contest sponsored by the Brit Trust and the UK Guild of Songwriters.  MP3s from these albums will be available for free download shortly.

In future we plan to make all our music freely available for download for personal use.  A number of brand new tracks will be appearing in the coming weeks and months so please bookmark the site and keep returning so you can keep up to date with new songs and forthcoming appearances.
